Yahoo Inc. and Nokia Inc. have expanded their relationship to make Yahoo Go for Mobile 2.0 available on Nokia's mobile phones that operate on the series 40 platform, the companies said Monday.

Espoo, Finland-based Nokia (NYSE:NOK - News) and Sunnyvale-based Yahoo (NASDAQ:YHOO - News) said that in the first half of 2007, the companies will also make Yahoo Go 2.0 available for a wider range of devices and pre-load it onto new Series 40 devices.

Yahoo also said it will use Web ads and links to make it easier for users to download its software for phones themselves, rather than relying on assistance from cell phone carriers and handset makers.

The company also said handset makers Schaumburg, Ill.-based Motorola Inc. (NYSE:MOT - News), Samsung Electronics Co., and Ontario-based Research In Motion Ltd. (NASDAQ:RIMM - News) will include its new software on some of their devices.

Yahoo -- which offers free service supported by advertising -- is offering to share mobile advertising revenue with operators as part of the cooperation agreement.
